Tien-i Chao (1935-2020) was born in Taichung. His writings include modern poetry, children's literature, aesthetic research, and literary criticism. He has won the Wu Yong-fu Review Award and the Wen Geng Award of Council for Cultural Affairs, Executive Yuan. In addition, he has also been the chief editor of Li poetry magazine, Taiwan Literature and Art, and Man Tien Xing. Past research mostly focused on his experience in Incident of the Department of Philosophy of National Taiwan University and the results of poetry criticism and children's literature. The collection of Tien-i Chao shows his life process of creation. Thus, through the works collected in Poetry. Collection of Tien-i Chao, this study explored how the poet presented his historical concerns and the turning points in the life situations and incidents in the narrative poems and pondered their meanings. |
