Climate change adaptation a very important policies, involving various knowledge domains such as disaster recovery, water resources, land use, seashore, energy, economic development, food, agricultural production, bio-diversity, infrastructure and health. Although interdisciplinary integration is consistently emphasized, its implementation varies. To determine the level of interdisciplinary integration, this study builds the Climate Change Adaptation Ontology (CCAO), employs a web search engine and the Inter-disciplinary Co-relation Measurement (ICM), and computes correlations among knowledge domains in different policies. We conclude that the ontological approach can assess the degree of integration of knowledge among different domains. For example, in the policies of solar panel on ponds, national land use plan, green energy, and smart city, the knowledge concerning disasters, land use, energy, economic development, agricultural development and health have high inter-disciplinary integration, but bio-diversity and infrastructure are bilaterally, not inter-disciplinarily, correlated with individual policy. |
