As the world pays more attention to Asian economic growth, Taiwan has also promoted the ''new southward policy'' in recent years, showing that in addition to the mainland China market, Southeast Asia not far from Taiwan should also be an important area for Taiwan to develop foreign trade. Because Indonesia has diverse ethnic groups and cultures, especially cultural factors play a certain role in the exchanges of politics, economics, and society. Taiwan and Indonesia have frequent economic and trade exchanges, and Taiwan’s business investment in Indonesia has also ranked among the top foreign investors in Indonesia. With Indonesia’s nearly 300,000 workers in Taiwan and tens of thousands of new Indonesian residents in Taiwan, they have become an intermediate force in strengthening relations between Taiwan and Indonesia.
This article analyzes the important connotations of Indonesian culture based on the views of Indonesian scholars on the national and cultural aspects of each region and the influence of Indonesian culture on its social and political and economic development. Inductively discovering Indonesia's special cultural traditions and its contemporary significance, and through cross-cultural observations to understand the role that Indonesian culture may play in the development of Taiwan-Indonesia relations, and further provide Taiwan's reference to Southeast Asian developers. |
