Considering the political thought of the predecessors within historical experience and thus exploring the possibility of constructing order, Han Fei brought up the rear in the academic community for Pre-Qin philosophy. It might be seen from Han Fei’s academic angle and dialectic system how he made painstaking efforts to build the system of Legalism.
Although the Legalist school emphasized the political operation of maximal efficiency by big government, it often produced malpractices as well as tragedies through its radical means. Therefore, by selecting “PSYCHO-PASS,” a political fable in an imaginary future world, as a research direction, the author explores the future possibility of transcending Han Fei’s existing political experience and of transforming the system of Legalism.
The best description of an omnipotent technology for political efficiency is the Sibyl System. It appears that the quantification of the “Psycho-Pass” and the trial by the “Dominator” together have built a new system of Legalism. However, the political dilemmas of the Sibyl System gradually emerge as the story continues. |
