Climate change and artificial processes have caused environmental changes, which have changed the ecological environment and affected the public's landscape preferences. Public's landscape assessment is becoming more and more important for local policymaking, but it has not attracted enough attention in China. The research purpose of this article is to explore the influence and differentiation of the public's preference for landscape under the huge changes in the environment. This study uses quantitative methods and purposive sampling to obtain a total of 311 valid samples, combined with personal social background information to measure environmental changes in different periods. The study results show that public prefer natural factors of the past environment (landscape naturalness, environmental pollution, flat skyline, organic planting) and spatial perception (place attachment). In addition, the public prefers the human factors aspects of the current environment (accessibility, environmental management, convenience of life) and spatial perception aspects (landscape beauty and landscape experience). The professional background and residential area will significantly influence the past and present environmental changes of landscape preferences. The overall evaluation of the past and current environment has a linear relationship with the landscape preferences. The naturalness and beauty of the landscape are significantly positively correlated with the overall evaluation of the environment. In future planning, the relationship between landscape, ecology, and aesthetics must be coordinated. |
