"For investigating the pests on herbs, 20 species of medicinal herbs and 15 species of aromatic herbs were collected and planted in Fengshan in southern Taiwan. Among them, 17 species of pests were found on Ocimun basilicum, the highest among medicinal herbs surveyed, followed by 11 species on Lycium chinense and 10 species on Perilla frtescens. There were 17 species of pests found on Melissa officinalis, the highest among aromatic herbs surveyed, followed by 12 species on Mentba spp. and 9 species on Plectranthus ambinicus. The most prevailing pests among these were Spodoptera litura, Euproctis taiwana, Atractomorpha psittacina, Phlaeoba infumata and Tetranychus kanzawai." |
