"Wen-Yu Chiang wrote modern poems since 1996. Her first book of poems, ""A man's nipple"" have been noted by many people, she used bold language and symbol. The ""Female Whale Poetic Society"" was founded by Wen-Yu Chiang and other poetess in 1998. It is representative the ""Female Whale Poetic Society"" became the first and only one of all female numbers poetic society in Taiwan. Wen-Yu Chiang challenged tradition and suspected the establishment of impression between the sex by poetry writing. She used the poetry to mock the real society, life course and protest the sex in view of woman. Wen-Yu Chiang intended to expect women to get rid of the view as ""object"" role, to take the initiative to change women passive image, in order to increase gender equality. Wen-Yu Chiang’s modern poetry combined sex, erotic, politics, drink and food. This thesis mainly discusses modern poetry of Wen-Yu Chiang about ""erotic"" and drink, food, sexual fantasies, female consciousness." |
