"This study is based on organizational learning as the research theme to explore how students to develop career plans and job innovations from the new designed courses. Organizational learning literature, mostly based on firms as the unit of analysis, and this study is based on student peers as a unit of analysis, which is included both at the individual and organization level. And the composition of the three parts in schools: students, teachers, and courses, has a form of authority and competition vary difference from business organizations. However, the relationship between students and teachers is learning by doing, mutual and peer cooperation. Through in-depth interviewed with students and observed them in classrooms, this research project wanted to reach the understanding of the learning outcomes in a series of industry innovation courses, which are new in the program. In particular, the chair of the program invited some of active, high-ranking managers as mentors, who are coming from variety industries, to students to guide their career plans, to learn industrial practices, but also to closely link the theory and practice. In addition, this serious courses are added some of contents about service learning. In winter and summer vacations, students took the initiative to team up the innovation experience camp. They brought the contents and tools learned in the course to Hualien & Taitung areas, and taught the local high school students about the innovation processes and methods. The results of the study show that the series of industrial innovation courses can enhance students' autonomous and independent learning and effectively improve the learning outcomes of their peers through the activities of curriculum design and innovation presentation." |
