New advances in the era of digital disruption have brought changes from the conventional era to the digital era during the Covid-19 pandemic. The changes have impacted on the economic industry and government as well as the emergence of new businesses from innovators to make strategies through digital platforms. This study aims to evaluate the protection of Copyright Law through the Over-The-Top platform from the perspective of Indonesian positive law and how the regulations and practices of using copyright objects on the Over-The-Top digital platform in breaking the cycle of Covid-19 pandemic. This study applies a normative juridical method, by providing explanations based on the provisions of the applicable law. Additionally, this study also utilizes a comparative juridical method by comparing several regulations. The results of this study indicate that, firstly, in Indonesia until recently, there has been no adequate regulation on the Over-The-Top Digital Platforms as well as changes in Digital Transformation based on Cyber law in Indonesia. Secondly, during the Covid-19, there have been many benefits from the digital platforms since the Government implemented the Work From Home policy. These platforms can be used to continue carrying out activities from home. Further, these platforms are also useful in breaking the Covid-19 cycle in Indonesia. |
