This study discusses the impact and responses of artificial intelligence (AI) on cultural and creative industries and examines the impact of AI on culture, especially with regard to artists, creative industries, and public policies. AI is a powerful creative tool that can give rise to countless creators, make cultural and creative industries more efficient, and facilitate countless works of art. This is a favorable direction for the public. However, artists and entrepreneurs who really use machine learning are still a minority, so the large-scale platform to grasp the provision of information, and even the expression of monopoly culture, this development trend is unfavorable for the public's creativity. In particular, countries that use artificial intelligence are mainly concentrated in the northern hemisphere (the United States, China, Japan, the European Union, South Korea and Canada), which makes the gap between ignorant artificial intelligence technology and creativity greater, especially in the countries of the southern hemisphere that are gradually losing. The opportunity to express one's own cultural traits ultimately hurts its social and cultural capital. |
