陶淵明的「復得返自然」是人們所經常樂道的。他的歸返自然有兩層意義，一個是內在的自然，指的是生活的質樸，心靈的反璞歸真；另一個則是外在的自然，指的是大自然，能欣賞進而與之共融。我們欣賞和讚美陶詩，實是詩人用他自己生活所體驗出的哲理，來與大自然或者人事間的物象，組合在一起而產生的真切感受。有關於內在自然的研究已經相當的豐富，本文則旨在試求探索在陶淵明作品中，大自然對詩人的靈感、心靈有怎樣的影響，而詩人又以哪些詞彙、詩句來表達對大自然的感受。在現代環境破壞日益嚴重，尋求與大自然和諧共處，在大自然的體驗中尋找生命的安頓之所的趨勢下，陶淵明歸返自然的生活態度無疑將是一種新的啟示。

Tau yuan-ming was a well-known 4-5th century poet, who advocated a simple lifestyle and an appreciation of nature. When we read his poetry, his inspiration from his own reflections on nature. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to examine how nature influenced and inspired him. By studying and reflecting upon Tau yuan-ming's poetry, we can attain a better understanding and a greater respect for our natural environment.
