Using literature review and statistical analysis, and through questionnaire survey, the paper collected the related teaching materials for the new course ''Interrogation and Record Production Practice'' for the police cadets at a training center. In addition, relevant information was gathered from in-depth interviews with the police cadets, who were assigned to different Police Stations of Kaohsiung City Government. Based on the empirical results obtained from the research derived from the hypotheses in the research framework, the paper discussed the correlation, drew conclusion, and gave suggestions for this course. The specific suggestions of the paper are as follows: (1) The course planning of ''Interrogation and Record Production Practice'' should divide the cadets in groups of different levels based on their varied backgrounds in order to improve their initiative and self-confidence in learning, enhance their learning motivation, and cultivate their learning potential. (2) Different teaching methods should be utilized in the course to stimulate the learning interests of the cadets. In the process of completing exercises, the cadets should be guided to explore the course content they are interested in, to have reflection on what they have learned so as to discover problems proactively during the learning process and improve their learning effectiveness. (3) The actual crime patterns should be incorporated. By integrating the police units' case investigation with innovative teaching model, the curriculum content is enriched to meet the practical needs of the police units. |
