The main purpose of this study was to investigate young children’s performance in different play types and use of accessories with unit blocks. Qualitative data were collected and analyzed from six children, who had more block buildings in Dong- Dong apple class, which was a mixed group including twenty- nine children in Tainan County via observation, informal interview, video-taping, tape-recording, photo-taking and field-noting.
