日治時期台灣傳統家具車枳造形設計及其應用研究

Design and Use of Turned Elements in Taiwanese Traditional Furniture during the Japanese Colonial Period in Taiwan

本研究透過車枳造形應用於傳統家具上的田野調查，利用形態分析法來探討台灣傳統家具車枳造形的分類及其用途，接著以電腦輔助設計軟體繪製圖檔，使車枳造形設計數位化，期能建立一完整資料庫，以保存台灣傳統家具文化。本研究得到以下結果：1)將含有車枳造形的家具加以分類，共可分為8類；2)各件家具經過分析後，各類別車枳造形皆有一基本形態；3)車枳造形可分為功能性及裝飾性兩大性能。

The purpose of the study is a qualitative analysis of turned objects used in traditional furniture. The approach uses field work to sort the turned objects into different types by the application of morphological analysis. Then computer-aided design software was used to draw image files to establish a complete database, in order to preserve Taiwan's traditional furniture culture. The results of the study showed that Taiwanese traditional furniture is divided into eight types according to the turned elements used. However, each turned element has its own basic shape. Finally, those turned elements can be classified into two categories: functional and ornamental.
