The National Palace Museum in Taipei houses a collection of 700,000 cultural relics. Appropriate preventive conservation measures can reduce future interventive conservation are key to extending the life of cultural heritage. This article discusses the origins of digitalization of temperature and relative humidity monitoring for the preservation of cultural relics in the National Palace Museum over the past 10 years, and the application of the Internet of Things in museums, as well as the application of artificial intelligence to big data analysis. It is anticipated that the preservation of cultural heritage and the creation of a friendly museum with a comfortable visitor environment can be realized. |
