Assisted suicide has been legalized in some countries such as Netherland, Belgium, Canada and some states in USA. But the subject remains a blazingly debated question. Can we terminate a life prior to its natural demise in the name of terminating the unbearable suffering that a particular patient undergoes? Those supporting the euthanasia assert that assisted suicide is an act of respecting patient’s autonomy and of mercy with good intention to relieve the excruciating pain for the patient. |
