脊髓損傷復健護理－－美國復健機構觀摩經驗分享

Rehabilitation Nursing for Patients with Spinal Cord Injury: Study Experience in Rehabilitation Institute in the USA

脊髓損傷是一種相當嚴重的傷害，除了造成生理上各個系統的機能障礙之外，其心理、社會、靈性及家庭皆受到重大衝擊。此類病人需要多專業醫療團隊提供持續性、整合性、個別性的照護。筆者將三個月期間於美國復健機構觀摩學習之經驗心得，在本文中與讀者分享，包括軟硬體設施、團隊運作模式、照護重要面及研究發展現況等，以期藉由國外經驗，建立本國對於脊髓損傷病人照護更完整的架構。

Patients with spinal cord injury suffer from physical, psychology, social, spiritual and familyimpacts. They need continual, integrated, individual care from multidisciplinary professionals.The author shares the study experiences in rehabilitation institutes in the USA with readers of thisarticle. The content includes environmental design, equipment, teamwork model, important aspectsof nursing care and research. Through this experience, we can establish a complete caresystem for patients with spinal cord injury.
