檔案抽樣鑑定探析

Study on the Archival Sampling and Appraisal

無論政府組織、企業團體，甚而家族個人等，皆隨時在產生難以計數的文件，這些文件歷經時間焠鍊，並透過鑑定工作判別，具重要價值者則轉為檔案進入檔案館進行典藏；多年來，各種鑑定方法在不同的國家演變，為因應龐大產生之文件數量，檔案管理人員開始使用抽樣技術作為一種確定檔案價值的工具。本文特針對檔案抽樣鑑定進行概略性的探討，了解檔案抽樣的意義、方式與其所帶來之效益，介紹相關使用之案例，並提出一些在執行檔案抽樣時之建議與限制，以作為未來我國在檔案鑑定上之參考與依據。

Government bodies, enterprises, groups, even families or individuals, always create a lot of documents. Documents through time's passage, those were decided to have significant value by appraisal process, will be archives collections. As time goes by, many appraisal methods were evolved in different countries. In older to cope with the huge volume of documents generated, archivists start using sampling techniques as a tool to determine the archival value. This article summarily discusses the archival sampling and appraisal, and figures out the meaning, processes and effects of the archival sampling. Meanwhile, the paper conducts cases study and proposes suggestions and constraints regarding archival sampling. The conclusions will be referred to help the future developing of our archival appraisal practice.
