This article reported the nursing experience of a twenty-nine- year patient whoreceived a simultaneous pancreas and kidney transplantation. Using Gordon's model,we identified that the patient had health problems such as anxiety, potential risk ofwound infection, potential risk of liquid volume deficit, potential risk of injury,potential risk of perioperative positioning injury, pain and knowledge deficit, etc.We provided an individualized nursing care plan and interventions for the patientand her family based on their needs. By the practice of perioperative nursing care,professional knowledge and skills, we assisted the patient and her family throughoutthe operation safely as well as managing the health problems. With our help, thepatient recovered from illness and later lived an expected quality of life. |
