Perioperative Nursing is threatened with lacking valid and reliable sources ofdata that provide the knowledge required for clinical practice, education, management,and research. This lack of comparable data severely limits perioperative nursing'sablility in developing an evidence-based data of nursing practice. The purpose ofthis preliminary investigation was to examine the content validation of perioperativepatient outcomes and related nursing interventions. Five perioperative nursing careexperts were recruited according to Fehring (1986) around Taiwan. Data werecollected by mailing questionnaires. 27 patient outcomes and 133 related nursinginterventions were identified, similar to international version. The results of thisstudy may develop a scientific basis of perioperative nursing, standardize theperioperative nursing language and promote the perioperative nursing care. |
