晚清以來中小學教科書發展的歷史回顧

The Historical Review of the Development of Elementary and Secondary School Textbooks from Late Ching Dynasty to the Present

本研究之目的，乃由檔案史料及教育政策的觀點，探究我國自清末以來，近百年間中小學教科書發展的軌跡，由清末西學東漸的風潮、基督教會教科書出版事業、國人自編教科書、審定制度的發展、國家級編譯機構的設立、教科書出版企業化經營、戰火下教科書的質變及臺灣地區教科書制度的發展等議題切入，以見證社會及政治環境變動下，教育與教科書制度的轉變及相關議題，並就臺灣地區教科書史料保存現況作一說明，以及展望未來教科書研究之方向。

This study is aimed at exploring the development of elementary and secondary school textbooks over the past century, beginning from the late Ching dynasty, from the perspective of historical archives and educational policy. Diving into the research from issues such as the wave of the introduction of western knowledge to late Ching society, the textbook publishing industry founded by Christian Church, the textbooks edited by Chinese native, the development of textbook review and approval system, the establishment of National Institute for Compilation and Translation, the corporation of textbook publishing, the qualitative change in textbook in the face of warfare, and the development of textbook system in Taiwan and so on, the changes in education and textbook systems under the fluctuation of societal and political environments are witnessed. In the end of this study, there are brief statements on the current status of the conservation of the textbook historical archives in Taiwan, and on the prospects of textbook research in the future.
