檔案館、圖書館與博物館三大知識領域在新資訊時代的整合趨勢──以加拿大與英國為例

The Trend of Integration of Archives, Libraries and Museums in the New Information Era: Canada and United Kingdom as Examples

本文主要探討三大知識領域之整合趨勢，包括：檔案館、圖書館與博物館。由於此三者都係文化資產的範疇，加上資訊數位化的結果，產生虛擬館藏，造成三者之間的界限逐漸泯除，使得三者的統整有其可行性。2004年加拿大已將國家檔案館與國家圖書館兩者合併，而英國則早在2000年設置博物館、圖書館與檔案館委員會，引領英國三大知識領域的發展與合作。本文主要以加拿大與英國為例，探討三者的整合趨勢，並將兩國的整合模式加以比較。

This article mainly discusses the integration of three knowledge fields-archives, libraries, and museums. All of these three knowledge fields are cultural heritage. As the emergence of virtual collection brought by digitalization, the barrier between these three categories of knowledge fields fade gradually and the possibility for them to integrate together comes into existence. For example, the LAC is a combination of former National Library of Canada and National Archives of Canada in 2004. In the United Kingdom, all of archives, libraries, and museums are under the same administrative system. This article compares the differences between integration models of cultural heritage in two countries, and discusses the trend of integration of these three knowledge fields.
