A disillusioned teacher, i. e. a teacher who has lost his enthusiasm in the classroom will find fault with practically all aspects of his teaching job: too little money, too many periods a day, too difficult a textbook, too big classes, too many students who are not at all interested in the study of English etc. He does not feel like being able to change anything and therefore will not even contemplate a change. -An English teacher, however, who has tasted success, whose students begin to react favorably to his teaching approach by practicing the language skills whenever there is a chance to do so, will constantly be on the look-out for better ways and means which may help his students to make rapid progress. |
