In recent decades, medical advances have significantly reduced the mortality rate from diseases such as cancer and chronic diseases. Despite this, patients still feel worried, anger, depressed and hopeless due to factors such as quality of life and stigma. In clinical practice, besides providing treatment and strengthening communication, maintaining the mental health of patients is also one of the key points. This article will briefly introduce the theory of hope and empirical research for cancer patients. Through the three elements of concrete and desired goals, pathways and agency, the patients' sense of hope will be enhanced, and finally they will reach a state of spiritual will-being. |
