再論新聞報導與時間敘事－－以老人新聞為例

Reconsidering News Reporting and Time Narrative–A Research Proposal on Aging News Stories

本文旨在延續研究者過去對「新聞」與「時間」之初步探索，進一步陳述時間與新聞敘事之關聯。本文認為，此類研究似應試圖回答以下問題：新聞時間為何？新聞報導呈現了何種或多種「時間觀」？由於老人之敘事經驗較豐，其與時間之互動應有特殊象徵意義，此類新聞報導因而可能對敘事與時間的關聯提供某些啟示，而以老人作為新聞報導與時間敘事之討論對象，亦應有益於新聞理論之建立。本文因此提出「時間敘事」之相關理論提案，將其暫分為「一般時間敘事」、「老人之時間敘事」、「新聞報導之時間敘事」以及「老人新聞報導之時間敘事」等四項，藉以顯示以老人做為新聞內容主要行動角色之時間敘事內涵。

This study aims to follow the authors' earlier interest in news temporality by examining questions relating to how time is portrayed in news. Using news of aging people as an example, we propose to conduct future news research by theorizing the concept of temporality in news narrative as being 'general time narrative,''time narrative for aging people,' 'general time narrative in news stories' and 'general time narrative in aging news stories.'
