Food businesses shall implement self-management to ensure food sanitation and safety. In order to investigate the status quo of food safety monitoring plan conducted by food service businesses, Taiwan Food and Drug Administration held consultation for meal box industry, restaurants in hotels and beverage chain stores in 2019. The results show that meal box industry and restaurants in hotels were sufficient in self-management with regard to food safety monitoring plans, while some of the beverage chain stores were found insufficient. Therefore, continuous consultation and related strategies are recommended to enact food safety monitoring plan and to improve the management of food sanitation, safety and quality in food service industry, so as to ensure the food hygiene for consumers. |
