This study focuses on the current status and integration of legal needs assessment procedures for the disabled in individual counties (cities), the connection between the procedures and legal welfare services confirmed by assessment, and case management, conducting 6 sessions of focus group interviews to obtain information about the current status along with information about the kind of cooperative model for the above two services in expectation.
The study found that legal needs assessment and case management services must be integrated with clear service connection mechanism, partnership, and complete education and training. The study suggests that social workers need to go down to the disabled’s needs. This said, consistent implementation of People with Disabilities Rights Protection Act and relevant regulations, and timely provision of case management service according to the demand, should all be the direction of the overall disability service.
