Objective: Presently, heart transplant surgery is not only a clinical study, but also an effective life-saving and life-prolonging treatment of patients with heart failure. However, tourist activities of heart transplant recipients remain limited due to the risks of immune suppression, rejection, and infection, as well as complications and medication side effects, etc. Therefore, this research focuses on heart transplant recipients and aims to further understand the tourist activities of patients after receiving heart transplant surgery in order to provide them with some suggestions to resume their normal social life. Methods: This research is based on a total of 18 questionnaires collected from heart transplant recipients. The questionnaires are semi-structured and include three sections: (a)data of research targets' individual attributes; (b)comparison between the activities that patients participate in before and after surgery; ( c ) general observation of how they act in the activities after surgery. Conclusion: Risks of ejection infection and complications did not reduce the heart transplant recipients' willingness to participate in tourism activities. They are perfectly willing to join tourism activities in the future. |
