This study is proposed for engineering technological education. The research has to fit the practical application-oriented demand of technological university. Lady is not suitable to work in construction industry in Taiwan because of the traditional culture and difference of physiology structure. Construction engineering is a non-traditional profession for females. However, the number of female freshmen in construction related departments increased year after year recently according to the statistical data. But, the employ ratio for female engineers in construction industry is very low. University of technology recruits students who mainly graduated from vocational high schools. Nevertheless, female students are usually confronted by a lot of learning difficulties. These difficulties are necessary to be solved in order to assist female students at university of technology to get a job. The essential vocational skill competence of female engineers required by the construction industry will be investigated in this project. To fulfill the research, literature review and document analysis, Delphi method and questionnaire survey will be applied. In order to set up the vocational competence for construction industry, the competence analysis methods for industry-oriented cultivation model will be used. This research is to combine the practical experience and industry-oriented demand for understanding the basic skill ability of female students in the department of construction engineering. The purpose is to develop the future curriculum and design teaching method. After the research period of one-year, results of research can be referred and used by vocational education organizations in our Government and the related departments at university of technology.
