This article explores the importance of recreational diving education on mitigating the destruction of coral reefs. More professional strategies are required in order to maintain coral reef management. The focus of recreational diving education allows divers to understand what improper behaviors can endanger the survival of coral reefs, help improve public awareness of divers, and promote more friendly conservation practices. This article compiles past related literature, discusses leisure diving education methods and effective intervention. Moreover, it also provides future diving education design and specific guidance for leisure diving industry and government management. Finally, the results of this article suggest that the conservation content should be included in the diving education course. This paper expects to arouse diver’s self-conscious conservation behavior, foster the feelings of valuing ecological conservation, and caring for the natural marine environment.
