With the rise of Somatics research in Taiwan, the sports community has realized the importance of improving physical and mental health through physical and internal experience. We attempted to reveal that “unity of body and mind” is the meeting point of the two major routes of ancient yoga and modern spiritual cultivation. From Yoga Sutra and modern science, we found pranayama and asana are fundamental resources of contemporary psychology. Pranayama is a bridge between body and mind, and asana is the result of physical and mental interaction. Moreover, we clarified the centrality from Osho’s point of view. He emphasized that if people know themselves again, they are able to connect divinity and discover the nature of true. In addition, according to Bhagavan’s thought of united consciousness, one must see the wrong identity and emotional load and understand his physical and mental parts are interacted as a whole. People practice the cultivation of inner honesty and aware the interaction. Finally, we believed how the idea of doing nothing links yoga exercise to spiritual practice.
