Aging lead to decline of physical function had become the health issues in the world. In order to avoid the physical function decline, the chair-based yoga exercise was safety and efficacy of exercise strategy. However, in evidence-based research into chair-based yoga exercise strategies is limited. We therefore carried out literature review to explore the therapeutic effect of chair-based yoga exercise to delay of physical function decline in elderly. The six evidence-based study were analyzed, the results proved that after chair-based yoga exercise showed significant delay the walk ability, cardiorespiratory fitness, balance ability, lower-limb muscular strength, flexibility, and agility and dynamic balance. Finally, we suggest future research to construction chair-based yoga exercise courses for elderly in Taiwan, which could serve as reference for prevent of physical function decline and promote daily of activities ability in elderly.
