This study developed Teachers' Sense of Life Meaning Scale(TSLMS) based on theory of Frankl's logotherapy. The development of TSLMS is totally through four steps: First, this study compiled 16 items based on three key concepts of logotherapy, such as freedom of will, will to meaning and meaning of life. Second, these 16 items were revised by 10 scholars and experts specializing in life education. According to their opinions, one item was deleted, and the left 15 items compose the formal scale. Third, confirmatory factor analysis(CFA) was adapted to analyze the data responded from 494 samples. In CFA, Results showed that second-order factors model is fit by the test of SEM, and indicated that this model is group-invariant by the test of measurement invariance. Finally, this study reinvestigated 259 samples, and used the test of cross-validation. The result exhibited that second-order factors model could be applied to different samples. |
