This study is to investigate the relationships between using social network websites and perceived well-bing. Facebook users were used as our subjects. Online survey was adapted and 200 valid questionnaires were collected. SmartPLS was applied to construct the model diagram. The results revealed that the instrumental support of Facebook had significant impacts on the three dimensions of well-being (mental and physical health, self-affirmation and life satisfaction). Additionally informational support of Facebook had a significant impact on life satisfaction. We suggested Facebook to improve emotional functions, such as pictures to present emotion, letting users express themselves easily. The functions of ensuring privacy also need to be provided to let users feel free from privacy leaking. |
