台灣地區生命科學國際會議文獻生產力研究

A Productivity Study of International Conference Literature on Life Science in Taiwan

本研究旨在探討1990至2003年台灣地區生命科學國際會議文獻之生產力。利用國際知名生命科學相關資料庫蒐集書目資料。其研究結果歸納如下：⒈臺灣地區生命科學國際會議文獻發表篇數與作者人數為反比關係；⒉臺灣地區生命科學作者生產力分佈符合洛卡定律；普萊斯平方根定律與80/20定律不適用於本研究；⒊臺灣地區生命科學高生產力作者之專長以醫學方面為主；⒋作者所屬機構之生產力分佈十分集中；⒌生命科學領域之作者普遍以合著方式發表文獻。

The purpose of this study is to investigate the characteristics of international conference literatures on life science in Taiwan, 1990-2003. The results of this study reveal: The number of authors and the literature presents an inverse proportion. The highly publishing authors' major field is medicine. The frequency distributions of the author productivity follow Lotca's Law and K-S test but not fit in with Price's Square Root Law and 80/20 Law. The distributions of the authors' affiliations productivity are extremely concentrated. The collaboration is prevalent in the research of life science in Taiwan.
