In order to promote the teaching of digital reading, Keelung City Government has cooperated with the Taiwan Reading Culture Foundation for the first time to establish two Digital Love Book Banks. In early September, they held a joint inauguration ceremony at Mingdezhong and Renai Elementary Schools. The stride that Taiwan Reading Culture Foundation's has taken from the establishment and promotion of the physical book Love Book Bank to that of the Digital Love Book Bank is undoubtedly a big one for reading. On this occasion, 30 tablet computers and charging devices were provided to each of the two schools, and they will be used with Hiteach interactive teaching software, such as TEAM Model smart classroom or the IRS real-time feedback system to bring students into the textually, acoustically and visually diversified world of digital reading. This is different from page-turning reading on paper, enabling students to do unlimited reading in a limited space. |
