The Analysis of the Cultural and Art Performances in the Opening Ceremony of Olympic Games: A Case Study of 2008 Beijing Olympics

現代奧運會是現今最大型的國際運動賽會，人們得 以在開幕文藝表演中一探主辦城市的精心設計，節目中 涵蓋其國家文化、風俗及藝術之意涵與特色。本篇以北 京奧運會開幕文藝表演〈美麗的奧林匹克〉為研究對 象，旨在剖析其表演內容樣貌及其象徵特色，採用個案 研究法與文獻分析法整理並歸納相關學術期刊、新聞報 導、學術專書等資料，輔以觀賞影音紀錄片。研究結果 如下：一、「畫卷」一曲舞者以肢體作為畫筆完成山水 墨畫作，「文字」一曲展示活字印刷術與孔子 3000 門徒， 「戲曲」讚賞泉州魁儡木偶之風貌，「絲路」以敦煌舞 者與船槳闡述陸上與海上絲路，「禮樂」重現大唐盛世 及傳統戲曲雅韻，「星光」以人形呈現和平鴿與中國著 名建築，「自然」推廣中國傳統武術——太極拳，「夢想」 聚焦於奧運主題曲—「我和你」。二、「畫卷」一曲宣揚 中國水墨之美，「文字」一曲讚揚儒家文化與字體流變， 「戲曲」闡揚中國魁儡戲底蘊，「絲路」展現中西文化 交流開端之貌，「禮樂」讚述中國經典藝文遺產，「星光」 體現對於環保與和平的理想，「自然」推崇中國武術及 傳統哲學思想，「夢想」傳遞關於未來的期許與展望。

The mdern Olympic Games is the biggest international mega sports event so far in history, which allows the audiences to explore the design ingenuity of the host city in the opening ceremony. The performances reveal the connotation and characteristics of the country's national culture, customs, and arts. This study took the performance of the opening ceremony named 「Beautiful Olympic」 in Beijing Olympics as the subject, and aimed to analyze its appearance and symbolic characteristics. The research method of this study was case study and literature analysis; the researcher collected and summarized the relevant journal papers, news reports, and academic books, with making an in-depth analysis of the documentary films. The research results have shown: 1. 「Scroll」- Some dancers take their bodies as the brushes to draw landscapes and complete a traditional Chinese ink painting. 「Writing」 demonstrates the Movable Type Printing and the 3000 disciples of Confucius. 「Opera」 appreciates the features of Quanzhou Puppets. 「Silk Road」 uses Dunhuang dancers and paddles to symbolize the terrestrial and maritime silk routes. 「Music」 reproduces the prosperity of Tang Dynasty and the elegant rhyme of traditional Chinese opera. 「Starlight」 uses many people to shape like a Dove of Peace and a Chinese famous architecture. 「Nature」 promotes the traditional Chinese martial arts named Tai Chi. 「Dream」 focuses on the Olympic theme song 「You And Me」. 2. 「Scroll」 proclaims the beauty of traditional Chinese ink painting. 「Writing」 admires Confucianism and the evolution of Chinese character. 「Opera」 praises the cultural significance of Chinese puppetry art. 「Silk Road」reveals the beginning of cultural exchange between China and the West. 「Music」 praises classical Chinese cultural heritages. 「Starlight」pays attention to the issues of environmental protection and world peace. 「Nature」 praises Chinese martial arts and ancient philosophy. 「Dream」 presents expectations and prospects of the future.
