Being just a strait away from China, Taiwan is taking the advantage of this physical distance with a universal perspective to develop a fruitful Western model of democracy. Absorbing the concept of ''L'écart'', which was proposed in 2011 by French philosopher and sinologist, François Jullien, this book is a result of continuous development of Hermeneutics with a perspective in poetry, studying classical and contemporary French poems from afar, connecting the heterogeneous elements of ''Fu, Pi, Xing''(賦、比、興)in Shijing(《詩 經》)which was created three millenniums ago, utilizing the effect of fertility of ''L'écart'' by juxtaposing these elements, in order to merge them around the aesthetic experiences of Chinese modern poetic language. By study the poems with the method of ''Character Thought'', connections will be made even more freely, eliminating the linguistic estrangement between Western sentence structures and Chinese Classics. The book is divided into three segments: the modernity and the global vision of classical Chines; the pursuit of classical elements within the innovation of modern poetic language, which is the transformation of ''Fu, Pi, Xing''; and the aesthetic effects carried into different languages because of ''L'écart''. |
