The Evolution of British Political Integration: Also on the Time Significance of Political Integration to Taiwan

本論文在論述英國的政治整合時，分為二大部分。第一部分論述 英國歷史進程中聯合王國內部的政治整合。第二部分則是大英帝國、 大英國協架構下的對外政治整合。文末筆者將借英國內、外政治整合 的歷史經驗，反思中華民國與台灣現階段的整治整合，以及台灣與中 國會被討論過的政治整合議題，供讀者思辨。論文的寫作比較傾向描 述性的發展，而非規範性的論述。也因此，前兩部分論文將聚焦在英 國政治整合相關的法律議題，勾勒出英國政治整合的架構以及特殊的 發展，而非著重理論的分析。

This paper is divided into two parts when discussing the political integration of Britain. The first part discusses the political integration within the United Kingdom in the course of British history. The second part is the external political integration under the structure of the British Empire and the British Commonwealth. At the end of the article, the author will use the historical experience of political integration of the United Kingdom to reflect on the political integration of the Republic of China and Taiwan, as well as the political integration issues that have been discussed between Taiwan and China, for readers to ponder. The writing of this paper tends to be descriptive rather than normative. Therefore, the first two parts of the paper will focus on legal issues related to political integration in the United Kingdom, outlining the structure and special development of political integration in the United Kingdom, rather than focusing on theoretical analysis.
