Indonesia, controlling the sea lane between the Indian Ocean and the Pacific Ocean, coupled with its rich human resources, has played a pivotal role in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations. Its geo-strategic position has the advantages to develop into''Global Maritime Fulcrum,'' and since the 21 century, the focus of the international arena has gradually expanded from the Asia-Pacific region to the Indo-Pacific region. The development of Indonesia's defense force will be a guideline for its ability to play a regional important role beyond politics and the economy. |
