Japanese architects Kazuyo Sejima and Ryue Nishizawa joined forces to create the Taichung Green Museumbrary. With the groundbreaking ceremony today, it is anticipated that the main structure will be finished in 2022 and will be open for use in 2025. The Taichung Green Museumbrary will be housed in an eight-story edifice, with the exterior an expandable metal net. It will be located to the north of Taichung Central Park. Kazuyo Sejima stated that this is the world’s first building that will house both a library and an art museum. |
