The goal of this study is to understand the relationship betweenorganizational support, effective professional development, positive effectsof professional development, and job satisfaction. The research sampleconsists of 1,042 teachers from elementary, junior high, and senior highschools in Taipei. The analysis, conducted through hierarchical regression,finds that school appraisal, effective professional development, and positiveeffects of teachers positively predict job satisfaction. An analysis throughstructural equation modeling shows that organizational support is positivelyrelated to job satisfaction through the positive effects of professionaldevelopment. Organizational support also has a positive relationship oneffective professional development. Additionally, this study providespractical suggestions for schools and educational administrations, as well asfor future studies. |
