The purpose of this study was to explore the relationship between the energy consumption and form parameters of building life cycle, by the theory of shape factor (f-value), the form coefficient (s/v) theory, opening ratio in building, and the perimeter area of ENVLOAD theory. Six different shapes with the same volume and three opening ratio of samples were designed by using the office building of Taichung as the example. REVIT software was used to simulate the impact of different schemes on life cycle and evaluate energy consumption and energy cost. The data were statistically analyzed by SPSS software. Our results show that the significant differences were found between power usage and energy costs in the different building shapes. Among these, the shape of high-rise type building cost the highest energy consumption. Moreover, large opening ratio of building is not conducive to energy saving. |
