Chen, Yu-Hong's 'Suo Yin"(《索隱》) won the 2004 'Taiwan shi xuan"(《台灣詩選》) Poets Award. The poem was a blockbuster success, but there were few reviews and commentaries dedicated to it. This paper won’t discuss the incorporation of 'Sha fu shichao'(《莎弗詩抄》), and its relationship with the poetry for the time being. It simply selects twenty-eight poems from the poetry and study the coherence of the poetic imagery and themes by analyzing, the classification and illustration of personal pronoun used in the narrative. With respect to personal pronouns and imagery thoughts, this paper takes Chen, Cui-Zhu's 'Shenme shi rencheng daici '(〈什麼是人稱代詞〉) in 'Hanyu rencheng daici kao lun '(《漢語人稱代詞考論》) and Jian, Zheng-Zhen's 'Yixiang siwei '(〈意象思維〉) in "Shi xin yu shi xue"(《詩心與詩學》) as a bases, to set forth the narrative of using personal pronouns, as well as the imageries and image, and the themes of poetry of which it forms. It was discovered that 'Suo Yin"(《索隱》) contains a large pattern of two layers of 'heaven, land and people'. The first layer of “heaven, land and people” appears in 'the relationship between you and moon'. 'Heaven' is symbolized as the 'Father (or Mother) God' image of “you are moon”. 'Land' is symbolized as the dual personality and wandering spirit image of 'moon approaching or entering you'. 'People' is symbolized as the melancholy, anxiety, or failure in love of 'avoiding or refusing moon.' The second layer of 'heaven, land and people' appears in twenty-eight poems selected from 'Suo Yin"(《索隱》). 'Heaven' is symbolized as the ever-changing moon image in the sky. 'Land' is symbolized as the achieving identity of object and self of “(you or I am) him, her or it'. 'People' is symbolized as that 'in memory of you', who I always chase and is sentimentally attached to, which is no more than an illusion in consciousness or desire of nothingness or an illusion. |
