This study interviewed 130 Taiwanese students studied in Japan during the past three decades on the culture shock they experienced upon arrival (including learning status, peer relationship, culture adaption, daily life, psychology and body, stress release, adaption after coming back). The results were analyzed using SPSS based on overall interviewees and their genders, years to study, age on arrival, period, major, identity, economic status and religion. Overall, students had clear goal for study abroad and gave positive comments on the study. Detailed analysis revealed that those students had certain difficulty in adaption on culture shock. Additionally, the adaption difficulty for those students after returning is revealed. |
