National Laboratory Animal Center(2010)

Both NLAC Taipei and NLAC Tainan were awarded full accreditation from AAALAC International in 2010, a renewal of accreditation for the former and a first-time acknowledgment for the latter. AAALAC International, a private non-profit organization promoting the humane treatment of laboratory animals through a voluntary accreditation program, provides a global indicator for quality laboratory animal care and use. The AAALAC accreditation process comprises a systematic assessment of the applicant's software and hardware facilities, including its management ability; this is deemed important for generating reliable and valid experimental data.
