本文主要目的在了解台灣醫院之組織特性,是否與醫務社工部門之工作內容存在關聯。經以醫院為分析單元,依據「醫務社會工作協會」2012年全台設有專職社工之醫院196家為母體,於2013年就其社會工作部門進行普查,計回收143份有效問卷,有效回收率為72.96%。研究發現整體而言,在九項醫務社工之工作向度中,以「個案工作」及「資源整合與運用」最受重視。其次經以單因子變異數分析,依序檢證七項醫院組織特性與醫務社工工作之關聯,發現統計上顯著的醫院組織特性,包括有「是否為教學型醫院」、「醫院層級別」、「醫院規模別」、以及「是否為宗教醫院」等,顯示台灣醫務社工部門的工作內容與醫院的組織特性有所關聯,其中尤以「是否為教學型醫院」與「醫院層級別」兩項組織變項,與醫務社工工作之關聯性更高。
The purpose of this study is to examine the association between the organizational characteristic of hospitals and the work functions of the social work departments in Taiwan. We created a census survey and distributed for the 196 hospitals affiliated with social work departments in 2013, then with a retention rate of 72.96 percent, we were able to retrieve back 143 such survey. Among the nine dimensions of job functions for the medical social workers, the “case management” and “resource management” were the most significant. Using the One-way ANOVA analysis, we assessed the association between organizational characteristic of hospitals and the work functions of the social work departments. We found that there were four statistically significant variables: “teaching-hospital or not,” “ranking of hospitals,” “the size of hospitals,” and “religious affiliated hospital or not.” This indicated that the associations between the organizational characteristic of hospitals and the work functions of the social work departments do indeed exist in Taiwan, especially for the organizational characteristics of “teaching-hospital or not,” and “ranking of hospitals.” |
