複合式養生社區之需求分析

A Study on Market Demand Analysis of Multifunctional Health and Wellness Community for Older Adults

建置「複合式養生社區」是本研究者從事長照工作20餘年，經過觀察、與老人交流及不斷論證後，再參考美國連續性照護退休社區、活躍成人退休社區及荷蘭失智村－侯格威失智村概念，所提出的創新構想。本研究運用焦點訪談法及紮根理論，期能了解「複合式養生社區」功能需求及目標客群願意入住的因素。研究結果認為理想中的「複合式養生社區」應具備之需求因子為設施與功能二項，設施方面包括生活機能、健康機能及環境機能；功能方面則注重其入住對象與照護範圍、其專業團隊整合社區資源及友善環境與達成健康終老的目標。臺灣民眾願意及不願意入住「複合式養生社區」之因素為家庭、親情、心理、社會及經濟等因素，並以社會因素中的環境因素是最有影響的。 'Multifunctional Health and Wellness Community'' is a new concept, developed by this researcher based on more than 20 years of engagement in the elderly care and long-term care industry as well as his investigation of the United States Continuing Care Retirement Community, Active Adult Retirement Community, and De Hogeweyk dementia village. In order to better understand the needs of the local market and whether such a Multifunctional Health and Wellness Community could attract potential clients, this qualitative study collected data from 12 practitioners using focus group interviews and analyzed the data with grounded theory approach. The findings of the study are as follows: Taiwanese practitioners think that the ''Multifunctional Health and Wellness Community'' must meet two critical needs of the elderly: those in terms of facility and functionality. Facility needs includes everyday life functions, medical functions, and environmental functions. With respect to the functionality needs, it is essential to ensure good health of the elderly. Attention must also be paid to the elderly and the range of care needed by the said elderly, such as providing various professional resources and a friendly environment. In addition, factors that will influence the willingness of Taiwanese people in staying in such a community include the elderly's consideration of their families, family affection, as well as their psychological, social and economic needs.
