護理人員在職場上若發生針扎事件,雖未立即危害生命,卻造成身、心理莫大壓力、恐慌及精神負擔,並且增加額外的醫療成本:回溯查檢急診室2015年第二季護理人員針扎發生率為18.2%,其主要原因有:(1)護理人員未依針具使用作業標準執行;(2)缺乏完善稽核制度;(3)缺乏完善教育訓練。經參考文獻及討論後,施行以下方案:規劃教育訓練、建立標準化預防針具處理作業標準及稽核表、改善針扎防護措施、培訓人員稽核、全面使用安全針具、製作海報及精神標誌物,結果顯示護理人員針扎發生率由18.2%下降至0%,不僅達成目標值,且有效預防針扎事件發生,進而提升護理人員職場環境安全,降低醫療成本支出。
Although needle puncture in nurses is notlife-threatening, it such incident will deliver agreat amount of stress, panic, mental burden,and additional medical costs. Retrospectivestudy showed that the incident rate of needlepuncture was 18.2% in the second quarter of2015. The main reasons are: (1) the nurses didnot perform needling according to standardprocedure, (2) the inadequate audit system,and (3) the inadequate training system. Afterreviewing different ways of improvement,the followings were implemented: scheduledtraining in standardized needling procedure,structure standardized risk assessment andauditing forms, improve safety equipment,audit trainees, use entirely safety needles,and produce and promote spiritual printingsand markers. The results from theseimplementations presented a decrease inneedle puncture incident rate from 18.2% to0%, which not only over achieved the targetedresult but also effectively improved workplacesafety for nurses and reduce medical costs. |
