透過觀察一個族群對於「死亡」的態度與處理方式,即可了解其所面臨的生活考驗與挑戰。而當外來統治者或宗教傳入後,讓傳統的喪葬形式產生了很大的轉變,也改變了族人對於傳統死亡觀念的看法。本文即以南投仁愛鄉眉溪部落為例,觀察其受到日治與戰後的政治變遷影響,以及基督宗教進入部落後所產生的喪葬儀式變化,部落族人如何調適並從中找到文化重整的方式。
By observing the attitude and treatment of a group of people to the meaning of “death,” we can understand the life tests and challenges they face. When foreign rulers or religions were introduced, the traditional form of funeral was greatly changed, and views of the traditional concept of death were also changed.
